1. Play a solo in following famous Taal for at least 30 minutes – Teentaal, Zaptaal, Rupak and Ektaal. (Including all kinds of compositions).
2. Play a solo in the Taal which are unconventional like Mattataal, Rudrdataal and Panchamsawari for at least 10 minutes. with Kaida, Rela and some Tukde.
3. Study of Aad, Kuad, Biad and Sankirna Jaati. Also the study of following Jaati and its utilization in playing – Chatashra, Teeshra, Khanda, Meeshra and Sankeerna.
4. To be able to compose and play a Kaida by using the same language in the context of Tabla by maintaining the aesthetics and balance in it.
5. Deep study in the Gharana that you are learning under and the comparative study of it with other Gharanas on the basis if key points like compositions, Nikas and so on.
6. To be able to play various types of Thekas from Ati Vilambeet to Ati Druta Laya.
7. Ability to accompany string instruments.
8. To do Padhant (recitation) of a Kaida in an unconventional Taal and play theka of the Taal simultaneously.
